How this site gets its facts.

Inclusion criteria

• A casino licensed by the Federal Council on the current ESBK list of land-based casinos.
• A hotel in the same building, under one roof, on the same resort grounds or officially named by the casino as its hotel in the same complex.
• Facts on rooms, check-in, opening hours, admission and parking from the official websites; where only hotel directories were available, this is noted.
• No ratings, no stars from our own assessment, no visitor numbers, no invented experience report.

Calculations

• Opening status The weekly schedule is stored in the casino's local time (Europe/Zurich). From it we calculate real opening and closing moments including night hours, date changes and summer/winter time, and convert them to your device's time zone. The time zone can be changed manually; without detection we ask you to choose.
• Distance Straight-line distance by the Haversine formula from your starting point (device location with your permission, chosen station or map point). Road route and travel time come from the open routing service OSRM as an estimate without traffic; without a response we show only the straight line.
• Order Sorted by distance from your starting point. Without a starting point we sort alphabetically and name no property as the nearest.

Checked but not included

These Swiss casinos have no hotel in the same building or complex. Currently closed are Casino St. Moritz (licence withdrawn 2025) and Casino Schaffhausen (operations ended 2025).

• Casino Davos – Davos Platz, Promenade 58 (since 15 Dec 2025 in the Arkaden building, no hotel on site)
• Casino Interlaken – Kursaal Interlaken, no hotel in the building
• Grand Casino Luzern – Next to hotels, but no shared operation or building
• Casino Barrière Courrendlin – Partner hotel Ibis Delémont is a different location

Casino hotels just across the border

Just across the border there are properties with hotel and casino in one operation (for example in Divonne-les-Bains, Évian-les-Bains, Ribeauvillé, Bendern FL or Saint-Vincent). Advertising for gambling not licensed in Switzerland is prohibited under Art. 74 para. 3 of the Gambling Act; we therefore do not include these properties in the comparison.
